Hooptober #8 of 31 Find it funny that in American horror movies the slut dies first, but in this one the “fat” one dies first. This one did not work for me. Really didn’t think the music worked. Didn’t seem to match. Like it felt comedic or joyful. It was a big distraction to me, and something I really didn’t like. There were a lot of experimental shots that I appreciated, but ultimately didn’t like it. The green screen was just so obvious, and took away.
What a ride !
It uses every audiovisual tool they could imagine and somehow it 100% works!!!
In short Brilliance in absurdity.

Is a house just a building? Just a place people sleep and reside? Or can it be more? Is a house also the combination of all the memories and lives that have existed within it? Well, this house is much, much more than the sum of its parts. An incredibly entertaining and surprising film with such an awe-inspiring artistic vision like nothing I’ve seen before. So brilliantly creative that it makes every other movie worse. I wish every movie felt like this. The girls are all so funny, and Kung Fu is definitely my favorite with her theme song that plays every time she does something bad ass.
The comparison to Jaws is spot on
