The song that plays during the credits. at first, I thought it was Mazzy Star - Fade Into You, but it turned out to be a different song. It was a nice touch, as the nerd had talked about this topic in the middle of the movie

This movie tries to say something poignant and almost makes it till the last second where Hugh grant is revealed to be an average mustachio twirling villain who craves nothing more than power over the individual. It would be much stronger if he believed in some actual higher power and was putting the two leads through an actual trial and crisis of faith. Hugh grants character makes some interesting points throughout the movie but his various thoughts and ideas just get no power when they can be washed away with “oh well he is just evil so everything he says is void.” This idea of a true secret original religion is interesting but when the reveal that it’s just “being a man” kinda sucks the soul out of the whole film.  But to judge the film by what it is and not what it isn’t, I think that on the whole it is a good somewhat thought provoking film and the reveal, while unsatisfying, does feel intentional. That at the end of the day all we have is our belief. Whatever that may look like. 

Hugh Grant plays the most charming nihilist you've ever met, but it turns into a paint-by-numbers slasher in the second half. Despite the trailer's implications, there are no riddles to solve. Kinda bullshit if you ask me
