Two decades after surviving a massacre on October 31, 1978, former baby sitter Laurie Strode finds herself hunted by persistent knife-wielder Michael Myers. Laurie now lives in Northern California under an assumed name, where she works as the headmistress of a private school. But it's not far enough to escape Myers, who soon discovers her whereabouts. Ok after watching this it turns out there is essentially ZERO connection between this and resurrection. And the only connection is literally a retcon. Definitely better in almost every regard and takes itself way more seriously. I honestly thought it was really good. Crazy cast in this one as well. It’s a pretty slow burn but I enjoyed the performances and the psychological drama. There’s a lot of similarities between this and Halloween (2018). Michael is slightly better here but still not quite right. This movie also looks great. Genuinely a good movie I can see myself rewatching.
