The GOAT of movies about animals playing basketball (move over Air Bud).  If you heard the premise or saw the trailer, you know exactly what this movie is. An underdog story about an unlikely rookie who saves the team and wins the championship. And yet it still worked for me. Of course, it was helped by how good it looks and being funny.  And I liked how the team captain was an underdog too, seeing how she never took home a trophy in her whole career. The team is a band of misfits but not really a team till the goat shows up to be expected. But it works. 

This really wasn't for me. While I love the voice acting and animation style, everything else just fell flat for me, ESPECIALLY the matches. Most of them were just montages, except the final, where we got 2 or 3 plays shown. None of the characters get much characterization as a player, with the MAIN CHARACTER just being a generic "distance shooter" or whatever you call it (sorry I barely know anything about basketball) with barely any notable plays being shown (except the matchup against Mane, that was pretty fun). I think making one or two matches similar to those in the NEL arc of Blue Lock would be pretty cool, with the players assessing their opponent's strengths and weaknesses and using each other's talents to win, instead of relying on Jett/Will for a majority of the game.

Ta sekwencja zmontowana specjalnie dla ludzi z ADHD (jak zresztą jest zmontowana większość filmu), kiedy wszyscy są smutni i pada deszcz, ale tytułowy kozak w pewnym momencie ściąga kaptur i bierze piłkę, bo zawsze po deszczu wychodzi słońce; jest doskonałym podsumowaniem tego filmu, który panicznie boi się tego, że nie odhaczy któregoś z punktów typowego dream big story (do tego stopnia, że to dream big mówi całkowicie dosłownie, i to kilka razy). Humor równie infantylny, ale tak jak na wąchaniu znoszonych butów przewróciłem tylko oczami, tak pierdnięcie do aparatu tlenowego już mnie rozbawiło, nie będę kłamał. No i ten typ humoru łączy się z ADHD-owym montażem o którym wspomniałem, w jeden - nie do końca dla mnie, ale jednak spójny styl. Dissy konia i żyrafy bujają, aż szkoda że są tak krótkie.
