Awesome sauce

I liked it a lot less than Fury Road, because the movie tries to focus too much on the story, which is fine but that's not the reason I'm watching these films. The action is less abundant, but it's still really great and entertaining.

Sound mixing wasn’t great. The animations/CGI felt unnatural and fake and not well-executed. It felt like how Wes Anderson animates some live-action sequences, a stylized choice that I felt didn’t work in this film. At times, the animation felt sped up. "Fury Road" is the better execution of this sped-up stylistic choice. When you first meet all the brides, there’s one walking down the stairs, and it looks so unnatural. It’s like she slides down the stairs, almost with a jerky motion. Even the costumes and makeup felt like a tier below "Fury Road," almost plastic-like, as if they were something you could buy at a Halloween costume store. Overall, it just felt like the attention to detail and execution were very lacking in this one. I’m still giving it a somewhat decent rating because it held my attention long enough, and it had decent action sequences. Oh, also, I did NOT like Chris Hemsworth’s character. The over-the-top accent felt very out of place and was only a distraction for me. It made me take the film less seriously.

“We are the already dead, little D”  “Do you have it in you to make it epic”  Still so impactful. Still absolutely RULES. We as an audience failed to make this successful at the BO. Still shocking. But I believe somehow George gets that confidence in making “Mad Max - The wasteland”. IT SHOULD HAPPEN COUS GEORGE CAN INDEED GONNA MAKE IT EPIC.

We’re what like 20 years behind this? I’ve really enjoyed following Anya Taylor Joy’s career.  It feels like Queens Gambit was just yesterday
