諾蘭執導的第一部作品 劇本滿好的，演技普普

Surprising how good it is given the run time but that might be due to its non linear nature. It is fascinating to see Nolan’s obsession with time all the way back in his first film and how well he uses this films format to keep just enough information from the audience to make the story really interesting.

68/100 The first ever directorial effort of Christopher Nolan, a brilliant noir that perfectly shows off what makes him such a visionary while also showcasing some early examples of the flaws common among his films. The story here is certainly interesting throughout, even with a slight pacing issue. Twists are of course par for the course in noir movies, but here its aided by Nolan using his signature trick of non-linear storytelling. As a result, the story comes off as very intriguing. This movie does suffer from some amateur acting, which makes sense seeing as the actors are all merely friends of Nolan. One minor character in particular is acted terribly. However, Nolan's directing and script still shine through into making the acting easier to withstand, if not completely bearable. The production also shines through, and not in a good way. This movie had a budget of a mere six…

To jest całkiem niezła historia, której przeszkadza to... że jest filmem. O wiele lepiej sprawdziłaby się w formie nowelki, tym bardziej że niedomaga w aspektach technicznych oraz występach aktorskich. Jednak Nolan na dużym budżecie to zupełnie inny reżyser (chociaż still better niż Dunkierka).
