Whenever I watch any movies on refugees, It makes me feel a tad guiltier because of the privileged life that doesn’t know the meaning of “Real Struggle” and feels so helpless thinking about current struggle of refugees after the recent capture of Afghanistan by Tailban. Always breaks my heart reading or watching their stories. I can’t even imagine myself in their place. It’s that devastating. To tell this story and on top of that a queer story of a self-discovery in the midst of running away from Afghanistan and making it Docu-Animated was seriously one of the most immersive thing I have watched from 2021.
