Set during the summer of 1957. Ex-racecar driver, Enzo Ferrari, is in crisis. Bankruptcy stalks the company he and his wife, Laura, built from nothing ten years earlier. Their tempestuous marriage struggles with the mourning for one son and the acknowledgement of another.

There’s a lot to like once the plot gets going about 40-45 minutes in. I don’t necessarily think the first 45 minutes is slow, but it took that long for me to grasp the plot. Again - I don’t mean that negatively! The fun Penelope Cruz is clearly having on set is infectious. She held the movie together for me. I loved how most of this movie was just Enzo ribbing his pals
