My all time favourite director’s first feature film may not be his best film but the great vision and experimenting with the subtext of war, usage of impactful music with some brilliant monologues can be seen throughout. Wonder why this wasn’t loved by audience back then and also today. Just by the debut standards this was very high without comparing it to his later films that became cult classics. This was a debut that defined him becoming a legendary filmmaker in his subsequent  legendary films that we still remember and talk about. KUBRICK 🙏
