Near perfect atmospheric crime thriller. Whatever the genre Malayalam industry has touched, they have almost always been loyal to that genre. The setup, the execution of twists that feels much more organic and character driven. This is totally worshipping the genre as it’s and producing a slow burn masterpiece. That’s the film’s strength with soubin Shahir’s performance showing various range throughout. Then phenomenal cinematography adds onto the moody atmosphere that is already set. What seems to be a simple drama initially escalates in a focused manner completely in the second half. The way everything falls into place never feels forced or hurried. Really a near perfect or maybe perfect showcase of a crime thriller genre.
