Try as hard as Denis might, it will never be Rebel Moon (2023)
Watched it after reading the novel. I found a greater appreciation for it. The film translates the novel's immersive storytelling and worldbuilding. It also adds a little bit more necessary character that the book kind of lacked. On a technical scale, it's absolutely magnificent. The cinematography, special effects, score are just transcendental and the atmosphere makes the movie feel extremely grandiose. The issues I have with this movie are the main problems that I have with the book, so while they could have fixed them, I can't really blame them for not. I would have liked more of Dr. Yueh and the emphasis on water, but other than that I think it's a flawless adaptation of the book and just an awesome movie in general
“This is only the beginning.” How Dennis made me enjoy a film which uses so much muted colors and grays will always amaze me. Soundtrack bopped. Cinematography moved me a bit as well as the set design/blocking.I had a good time and that’s all that matters. Let the jihad for space cinnamon begin!!!!
Rewatch before Dune 2.
世界觀龐大,名字難記,劇情緩慢 前半段是覺得有點不知道在幹嘛XD
The first time I watched this video thought it was too slow and long and was around a 3.5. Now that I am more of a film nerd and I rewatch this, it is truly amazing 🤩 the best part has to be the ending and I can’t wait to rewatch the second one and I remember it being better.
Não confio em pessoas que falam que dormem vendo duna 🤨
I think it misses, like Villeneuve's Blade Runner compared to Ridley Scott's, some texture, some imperfections. Everything is very polished and clean when there are some things that'd be more interesting if they had space to be a little weirder, a bit less explained.
Gets better on every watch
Perfect 👌 perfect in every way❤️ Cinematic af Acting of timothee❤️ Everything was perfect
Unbelievable how fabulous this movie seemed watching for the second time. That’s magic of Denis Villeneuve. Some People who are telling the film is empty, seriously need to focus on the layers here. Every important scene tells something about the future of this story. First part takes whole lot of time to explain everything that are important for sequels and it doesn’t compromise on any details. Journey of a boy Paul from scene 1 to last scene is the shortest plot detail anyone can give but it’s pure magic what happens in between the journey and this journey is thick in details. Just imagine if the first scene and the last scene of the movie ended in 30 minutes and then Denis included other half of the story in one film. It would have been a mess. Already the universe is huge and Denis took the right decision in building the world slowly and not rushing. Though riskiest yet highly successful first film in every way. LONG LIVE Denis Villeneuve THE MASTER OF SCI FI
This is probably the best sound design I’ve ever heard
Rewatch upped it by a whole star baby
