Yusuke Kafuku, a stage actor and director, still unable, after two years, to cope with the loss of his beloved wife, accepts to direct Uncle Vanya at a theater festival in Hiroshima. There he meets Misaki, an introverted young woman, appointed to drive his car. In between rides, secrets from the past and heartfelt confessions will be unveiled.

This is a ride that has etched onto my mind in a special way. I knew this film was an extraordinary drama when I felt even 3 hours drama was not enough. I wanted to continue journey with these characters and screenplay to go on and on. The life as it’s right now seems so much of everything after watching this movie. It gives a lesson to keep moving, to understand the people you love in a better way, to listen to yourself and also give opportunities to listen to your loved ones. Basically a special self-discovery film that has what I call as best screenplay a drama film could get which is spiritual, meditative and highly engaging. One of the Best written drama films of all time and best written drama film of 2021 so far.
