I don’t get the low ratings for this on Letterboxd. Such a well-made serial killer movie that is refreshingly thrilling. From the way it’s shot, executed and to the obvious serial killer tropes that don’t shy away from being different. Familiar yet it escalates in a refreshing way that hooked me right till the end. Yes, sometimes shark behaviour just serves the plot and isn’t entirely realistic because throughout the film, there were some really logical tension points that I liked. Although I want to mention the way that scene towards the end is shot is beautiful even if it’s a questionable scene. Good tension-filled horror thriller. Deserves to have 3.4-3.5 overall letterboxd score.

Jai Courtney brings a colorful character to life; a serial killer who kidnaps women as bait for his feeding frenzy snuff videos (on VHS!). Yep, it's about a guy into shark themed snuff films. Big twist - Courtney's serial killer proves to be a true cinefile who frames each feeding with a crane and floodlights. Not bad for a SOV director, but let's see a little more range next time. Dogshit script tho

Kilkukrotnie skutecznie pogrywa z oczekiwaniami widza, kiedy celowo prowadzi do kliszowych sytuacji, a następnie nieoczekiwanie je przłamuje. No i "baby shark" w prologu to złoto. Tylko ten mocno naciągany wątek romantyczny z zerową chemią przeszkadza. I trochę mało rekinów jak na film o nich.
