Michael Manning it up rn. Watching this right after Heat made it feel not as strong but still an all timer that I'll definitely revisit. Also the stare off at the end between the leads in Mann's films is iconic 10/10 scene.
Think anybody will notice?
They say there is no order in chaos, that is not the case for the indifferent Vincent who is ready and steady for the job. It doesn't seem like dream career, not secure enough like Driving a cab, but playing safe does not get you anywhere whereas improvising makes you special among the regular people.
Tom Cruise is the predator, we're all his prey Shout out to Marco Salamanca, Anton Chigurh, and "The Girl that Eddie Murphy tries to fuck in The Nutty Professor." All yall are the true sociopaths and psychopaths in this film.
Surprised Vincent isn’t considered a sigma icon at this point
Really solid movie. My only gripe is I wish we got more time with mark ruffalos character. But other than that a great watch. Tom cruise gives a solid performance but he’s not really the focus of the movie. The whole movie really zooms in on Jamie foxxs character Max. You learn so much about him and everything has a payoff. Loved the writing in this. Everything comes together in the end in a really satisfying way.
