what really stood out to me in this film is how little it tries to be anything grand. there’s no major plot driving the film, and honestly, that’s what makes it so unique. it somehow keeps you engaged even though it doesn’t really go anywhere. much like the guys at the convenience store, you’re… there, existing in the moment. there’s a certain charm in its simplicity. it feels real, relatable, and oddly comforting. it’s a classic comedy with a subtle moral beneath the surface. nothing about it is flashy, the actors are ordinary, the setting is ordinary, but the script is anything but. that’s where the film truly shines :))
