Took my Lumix g9 to this viewing. Of course it called it hollow but it really appreciated the representation
戰地記者也太酷了吧跟軍人這樣同時存在好像有護盾XD 這不是戰爭動作片,而是戰地記者片 描寫內戰的殘酷也有動人的時刻
Idk how to rate this…still thinking about it!
First thing that came to my mind after the movie ended was Dan Gilroy’s NIGHTCRAWLER. Basic moral ethics or journalism standards are same and gut-wrenching especially when films go deep into such characters to show what they go through to get that one viral quote or a story or an interview or just a shot. Alex Garland’s CIVIL WAR at times unflinching showcase of what war journalists go through yet at the same time it shows how some journalists are also like people in the farm who are just pretending that civil war is not happening in the country. Journalists might be in the war front yet they ignore all different ideologies that has divided the nation, to get that one viral interview or a quote from the president. Beautifully shot right from the beginning. All actors did well but one character JESSIE played by Cailee Spaeny will stay with me forever because of her brilliant arc. Thats…
War is bad
This one just didn’t connect with me. I think the acting was great and the third act held the tension to the end but there were so many scenes trying to elicit an emotional response and it just didn’t work for me. Were the characters underdeveloped? I don’t think so but it just didn't connect.
