Newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane is taken from his mother as a boy and made the ward of a rich industrialist. As a result, every well-meaning, tyrannical or self-destructive move he makes for the rest of his life appears in some way to be a reaction to that deeply wounding event.

Watched it again in a theater Don’t care what this new gen says this is still one of the greatest movies ever created
Moved from a 4.5 to 5. Gained more appreciation after watching a few video essays. Also, did anyone else get The Wolf of Wall Street vibes? Links to the videos I watched that helped me better appreciate the impact Citizen Kane has had on Hollywood and modern day cinema:
I kept going “wow” with some of the cuts! Pretty cool and fun editing! Intriguing story and feels more modern than it is.
“You know, Mr. Thatcher, if I hadn't been very rich, I might have been a really great man.” This is my first time watching this movie. Watching a movie when the only thing you know about it is the “twist” or reveal definitely changes one’s perspective of the film. But as no one word can encapsulate someone’s life, no one fact can encapsulate a film. Especially a film as magnificent as Citizen Kane.
When i think of the word "Marvelous", i don't think there is a better movie than "Citizen Kane" to capture this word
