It’s a very well made psychological mystery/horror film throughout with brilliantly set atmosphere and vintage feel. But I will tell you why even after saying this I couldn’t rate this film higher - It’s because I have seen such characters before in the same genre and it doesn’t surprise me anymore, not even the ambiguous ending that is not ambiguous anymore for me. This could surprise for people who haven’t watched such films with similar characters before.
