It’s a bat-shit crazy psychological study of a gangster. No wonder divisive opinions for this. I was pleasantly surprised that this turned out to be like that because I like such insane character traits that goes totally crazy into his own hallucinated roller coaster ride. But main problem with the film is the treatment. Example- One scene reminded me of the iconic ballroom scene in “The Shining”. But treatment here is just okay. Legendary Stanley Kubrick’s magic of totally sinking us into the scene was missing here.  Never thought I would see the story of the final lap of a notorious gangster showcased in this manner. Insanely Terrifying stuff. For surprising me, I would like to give this an extra point. It’s a great vision no doubt. Tom Hardy is solid though I wasn’t a fan of his voice here. Super tough role to play and he did excellently. But it’s all in the treatment when it comes to showing such characters that are totally out of their mind. That’s where this film couldn’t touch that level. Average treatment.
