It’s not every time that I felt so happy being the victim of a masterful deceptive cinema that made me focus on one thing but this film is much more than the mystery of video tapes haunting the family’s private life. It’s absolutely magnificent how ambiguity is created throughout. The beauty of this film is that I started to interpret certain stuffs after the credits started rolling in. Because until then I was mostly focused on the central mystery more than the psychological aspect of the characters. It’s that lingering thought after it ended (Two brilliant scenes in the end including long final shot) that told me this is more about the Georges guilt and past actions, what’s reality and what’s not —— whether the lead character is making up stuffs or is he really right?
