When a disc containing memoirs of a former CIA analyst falls into the hands of gym employees, Linda and Chad, they see a chance to make enough money for Linda to have life-changing cosmetic surgery. Predictably, events whirl out of control for the duo, and those in their orbit.

Way too dry for me. I can see why people love this, but I just couldn't seem to laugh at anything except Brad Pitt and JK Simmons just being Brad Pitt and JK Simmons

That's how you make an absurd comedy
As someone who dreads the idea of writing scripts or coming up with interlaced characters and plots, the films of the Coen brothers have always grown an itch in me to maybe start at the least. Miller's Crossing is probably the best screenwriting I've seen, ever. Burn After Reading feels like the same chaotic but darkly funny beats taken from the former but for a much smaller stake and a much bigger emphasis on the characters being slightly or completely autistic (favourite category) I wish it extended a bit more instead of the fast wrap-up it had for the whole plot in, like, 5 mins. A lot of untied ends.
