When a young boy makes a wish at a carnival machine to be big, he wakes up the following morning to find that it has been granted and his body has grown older overnight, but he is still the same 13-year-old boy inside. This movie explains so thoroughly why I want to start a film production company. In the film, it's a bunch of businessmen talking about the statistics of a consumer parent, not the wants of a kid. It takes a literal child to come in and bring back the company. The film production world is full of businessmen with a pie chart spitting out unoriginal and dogshit films. There are no genuine artists present. There's nothing wrong with businessmen or the work they do, it's just, the film production world is an artists world, not some damn bar graphs. I have studied business and business works for four years now, and I know what I need to do. I need to create a company for the artists, about the artists, and led by an artist. If I had to give up writing and directing movies just so someone else could be who they are and make what they want, there would be no second thought. Of course I would.
