Wow. That was unexpected. Now I haven’t seen the first Batman Ninja, but I’m not sure one really needs to in order to understand what’s happening here.  I loved how authentic they were to Japanese culture and even yakuza hierarchy. Like the four dimensional machine does, the script brings together different realities to tie into a narrative that Batman unravel through in order to understand what has happened and who is behind it. Then it’s fun all the way to the end. The Diana scene really touched me and I thought Damien was hilarious. He is somehow ridiculous while also being one of the serious characters who keeps calling out ridiculous things.
