sobs They're making four more of these things. Four FUCKING MORE! Also, why is nobody talking about the fact that this is a better Lorax film than the Illumination one. Whatever. Good visuals, good time, couldn't tell you the name of Sigourney Weaver's character, but it's fun y'know? Just good in the moment type stuff. But I honestly completely forgot any and everything about this film the second the credits hit the screen... except for the tail sex give us more of that in the sequel you naughty, naughty Daddy Cameron

There really is so much to talk about in this movie that is dumb and forced and lame, but I don't feel like explaining those things so I'll just say that it's a visually breathtaking movie with some of the best VFX in all of cinema, Crisp, booming sound, and gorgeous cinematography, with a dull, poorly paced, overly long plot, forgettable and uninteresting characters, laughable villains with no depth or subtly whatsoever and in general a plot and message that feels so forced and lacking in any sort of nuance or depth. This movie has some of the most surface-level themes about humans vs the environment that are painfully forced and don't ever look deeper than Nature= good, and humans= bad. I would still say it's worth seeing in IMAX because of how visually stunning it is, but if you don't care about that, just watch Princess Mononoke instead. That's a movie with gorgeous animation and immersive sound, but an actually deep story with intelligence and depth.

Forgot how good this one is compared to the rest. Although going from fire and ash having insane graphics to this having good but not as good graphics is kinda a downgrade but the story is better.

It is extremely cliché, with all of those white savior themes in there, the whole “finding-out-the-protagonist-lied” plot and has a kinda boring main actor, but when it goes for the spectacle it **reeeaaally **works. The animation holds up and Pandora is a very interesting place to explore!

My 8 years old nephew first time seeing this and his reaction was - “How did the director do so many crazy things in just one film?”. Yes, that’s exactly how my reaction was in 2009 as a teen. I was mesmerised. And coming to my Fire and Ash negatives, I didn’t feel any repetitive-ness or cliches in the original even if I watched it for the nth time. That’s how perfect it was in terms of everything. Need to rewatch Fire and Ash soon to conclude anything about the negatives that I had after first viewing.
