It’s amazing that in 1944 (Also in Meshes) and in an experimental cinema, TIME was used in a way that is still considered as a niche thing in film technique. Purely acquired taste these kinda avant-garde films but I absolutely loved this too. Deliciously ambiguous yet again and most importantly not pretentious like some more films like these. There’s an emotional logic to it even if it’s surreal/mind scratching in nature. I don’t mind scratching it if it’s #MyShit done right.
