Hears, "it's the same backwards and forwards," gets Tenet flashbacks

This is a challenging movie to review. I feel like I watched something really impactful. It's gorgeously shot with an incredibly haunting and memorable score. The atmosphere is incredible. I totally felt like I witnessed aliens coming down on earth and the mystery and fear that is present. The movie's biggest positives are how immersive and sophisticated the movie is. There are a lot of really deep themes and ideas that are relatively subtle and very interesting. If the movie overexplained everything it would lose its impact but because everything was so hidden it made it more compelling to me. I will say though that I couldn't personally connect to this movie. It's tough for to me explain this but I would definitely not consider this a movie I am drawn to watch again. I thought the pacing was a little sluggish and I couldn't really connect to the characters in the way I wanted to. Still a great and incredibly memorable movie.

On my first watch I didn’t understand why people were saying this was a very Bahai movie. Now I completely understand. One Universal Language. World Unity. This movie is one of the most moving experiences you’ll ever get in you life. And the soundtrack just makes it so much better.

" I forgot how good it felt to be held by you." THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL

The politics in this one can be a bit silly, but the personal story of Louise with the aliens is so moving. I thought I wouldn't want to finish it that night because I was feeling sleepy and the film is a bit long…but it still had me hooked all the way. This is one of those few movies that I know for sure changed my outlook on life and that’s a big deal for me. Also, I almost cried every time Hannah showed up!! Life is beautiful even though (because?) it ends!!!

Despite knowing the journey and where it leads. I embrace it… And welcome every moment.. Another regret of not watching it on big screen😭

boring

I guess it had been long enough since I had last seen this, so I forgot the twist, and it really got me. I can’t imagine living like that. A very human look at alien encounters. Also has me looking forward to the new Steven Spielberg movie, which seemingly will feature similar ideas.  The execution is incredible, and every aspect is interesting. I love the way the window in her house mirrors the window in the spaceship. Wonderful creature designs. Just a perfectly crafted movie.

Jag satt och väntade och väntade. Sen kom den, den lilla lätta tankevrickaren. Den som Villeneuve har bemästrat på ett sätt ingen annan regissör har, och som vanligt är hans filmer bland de snyggaste som någonsin gjorts. Stora plus på Amy Adams också++
