basically, the film leans heavily on explicit imagery with bits of plot sprinkled around it. the director’s attempt to explore misogyny through a sort of “homosexuality as metaphor” angle is… interesting in theory, but it honestly doesn’t come together well on screen. and there are definitely moments that feel dismissive of bisexuality, along with a few undertones that come off a bit exclusionary. overall, it tries to be bold and provocative, but for me, it ends up feeling messy rather than meaningful.
