i honestly think this is one of the most beatiful films ever made

Anatomy of a Fall is an expertly crafted courtroom procedural that does a great job of showing you what it feels like to go through the legal process. The moments where the stress causes sobbing outbursts, easing tension by making a joke, the quiet murmur from the gally after something surprising happens in the courtroom, a lawyer's self-doubt ... all of it was so authentic.

Ce film a été une déception pour moi. J'avais entendu tellement de bien à propos de cette œuvre que j'imaginais quelque chose de tout à fait remarquable. Pas du tout. Le jeu des acteurs est soigné, bien sûr, mais, ce que je retiendrais principalement de ce film, c'est sa lenteur et son atonie. L'ennui était si palpable que, si j'avais tendu la main, j'aurais pu l'effleurer. This film was a disappointment for me. I’d heard so many favorable reviews about it that I was expecting it to be something truly remarkable. But that wasn't the case at all. The acting is solid, obviously, yet what I'll ultimately remember most about this film is its sluggishness and lack of energy. The boredom was so palpable that if I had reached out, I could have touched it.

Wszystko przez to, że zdążyłem już zapomnieć o tym, jak niepozornie zaczyna się ten film i że potrzebuje trochę czasu, zanim przejdziemy do mięska, czyli intelektualistycznych potyczek w sądzie, gdzie bryluje łysol z ciętym językiem. Operatorskie mistrzostwo, gdzie każdy mały zabieg ma znaczenie (mój ulubiony to chowanie obcych sylwetek w celu dezorientacji, kiedy mamy wejść w buty niewidomego dziecka).
