57/100 Another Spielberg movie I found rather underwhelming, but like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, there's still enough good in here that I can see why some people like this movie, despite it not quite being to my tastes. However, I think here I should start with what I don't like, starting with Dreyfuss as the main pilot. He plays a good scientist character in earlier films, but here he's so blasé about everything, even dying, and worse, being forced to watch one Ted get to his girlfriend after him. Ted himself is played by Brad Johnson, another actor I don't care for. Holly Hunter seems to be the one character who's trying here, but Johnson just sucks all the chemistry out of their shared scenes through his apathy.
