Low key blown away by this one. Of Tom cruises older movies I’ve seen this, to me, is his most sincere. It completely captures the feeling of growing in a small town and how you can feel so trapped there. Filming on location really helps with conveying that and gives the movie a strong presence. Some really great cinematography but it has pretty rough edit that gives it a dreamlike quality that actually works in the movies favor to capture the monotony of small town life. A really enjoyable if somewhat cheesy film.
