First 2 hours- Wow, really good, very cool, some slow parts and a really weird score, but one really amazing sequence that blew me away with viewing symbols of freedom as that of terror. Last 30 minutes- Dogshit.

Unflinchingly powerful and magnificently produced movie on all the technical front. There is a constant commentary on how nobody gains anything from war in this. Brilliantly depicted the trauma that they go through - Even though they would have temporarily gained something, it doesn’t translate into a long term thing. Just before 90 minutes there’s one phenomenal scene where the protagonist stabs one of the enemies. During stabbing he realises that he gained that advantage over his enemy, but aftermath of it totally changes him as a person. It’s one of my favourite scenes of the year. This duality is very much constant even in the smallest scenes possible, like stealing goose from one of the farmers house and later it hits them back very hard. This is not even a war sequence to be precise but this depicts how even a small rivalry like situation could turn your lives into an unavoidable…
