(500) Days of Summer2009

we watched it may 23rd!! day (500)!!! made me feel very lonely…but hopeful? That’s nice I guess. When I first watched it I felt like the movie wanted me to root for someone specifically but this time it just felt way more human and way more powerful. I still think Summer's change of mind about relationships feels very sudden, but hey, that’s because we follow Tom's perspective. From Summer's perspective, the Tom thing was mostly a. moment for growth and better understanding herself. There was a shift as well from mostly agreeing with Summer's more grounded (?) view of relationships towards a more optimistic one. In a way it’s infuriating, confusing and sad but also hopeful. You didn’t find the love of your live (yet). But maybe you will.
