In a era of film where every movie attempts to outclass the last for the most desaturated, flat piece of "we forgot to take it out of log," one Russian war film visually rises from the washed out ashes. *T-34 *is a ocular treat in terms of its gorgeous composition and dynamic lighting. Sure, the film focuses far too much on its overt patriotism and propaganda and forgoes developing its characters properly, but you cannot deny the triumph that is this films existence. Thank you to every brave Russian tanker for your service in ridding this world of a couple of evil fascists. I love how Americans and Russians can always agree on one thing, "kill every Nazi" :)
