All the novelty that “28 Days Later” had, completely vanished in this. From being a melancholic, distinctive & character driven zombie masterpiece to just another generic zombie movie that still engages with some cool action set pieces but lacks the unique treatment of 28 days later. Even aesthetically it’s a downgrade from the first part. Still fun enough but not memorable.
My boy Jeremy did not deserve that. Visually, it’s nearly as strong as the first movie with better quality and has a really great cast. But in the script it leaves pretty much everything to be desired. It starts pretty strong and has some interesting ideas but it just fizzles out by the end. It honestly feels like half a movie. Can’t wait for the next one. Hopefully it won’t take 28 years to make it haha lol.
the first 20 minutes were so good; idk what the fuck took over the crew while making the rest. compilation of dumb decision-making, plot armor, and Star Trooper gun training given to all the US military soldiers.
