Grit, gear, growth – this film is a portrait of Taylor Shaffer’s coming-of-age as a photographer and filmmaker, following his creative trajectory as he shepherds Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell through a 2,500-mile expedition to attempt a single-day traverse of the Devil’s Thumb massif and finds his artistic voice amid risk, friendship, and a changing Alaskan landscape.
