The Mother Lake

In the late 1940s, vast areas of Inner Mongolia were still under the control of feudal pastoral lords and remnants of the Nationalist forces. Chagan (played by Suyala), a Communist Party member and a son of the grasslands, was an exceptionally skilled horseman. Using his riding skills, he infiltrated the enemy’s Ejinor Cavalry Regiment. During a battle, he saved the life of the regiment commander, Ningbu (played by Qiaolu). From then on, Chagan earned Ningbu’s trust and was given important responsibilities.
