There, she wrote and directed three short films: Atrapado (2002), ¿Te estás sentiendo sola? (2004), and Perfidia (2006), which were selected for several international film festivals, including the Sundance Film Festival. In 2006, she attended a screenwriting workshop at the International Film and Television School in Cuba, where she began developing the idea for Las Malas Intenciones.
