Camilla Sampaio

Camilla Sampaio was born in Maceió in 2002. She is a cinematographer, photographer, graphic designer, musician, and founding member of the alternative rock band Angels with Umbrellas. She has worked in audiovisual production since 2016, spanning cinematography, editing, and color grading. She directed and shot the music video Pra Quando for the band Lugar Algum, awarded at the 2025 Mostra Sururu de Cinema Alagoano. For her own band, she directed the music videos Præy and Ghøul, and handled direction and cinematography for Angels and Gravity. On the short film Minuto, screened at the International Film Academy's Filmworks Film Festival in 2024, she served as cinematographer, editor, colorist, and first assistant director. In 2026 she joined the teams of three short films: Viagem Perdida (cinematography and camera operation), Tatiana Catatônica (first assistant camera), and O Voo (co-cinematography, gaffer, and second assistant camera). She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Film at Centro Universitário Belas Artes, holds a bachelor's degree in Advertising from Centro Universitário de Maceió, and is a specialist in Digital Design from Instituto Infnet.
