White Noise2022

This is totally from Adam McKay’s institute of satirical filmmaking in every sense. “NOT FOR EVEYRBODY CATEGORY”.  Noah hasn’t done anything as weird as this before. I wouldn’t even have predicted that he would do something like this after making pure heart touching dramas before this. As weird and as chaotic this gets, I enjoyed every bit of it. It’s a mess in terms of what it wants to show but somehow smart dialogues that talked about death or to be precise “monologues” in this were far superior that managed to be super engaging and thought provoking throughout in this entertainingly chaotic metaphorical take on death. The way humans react to catastrophe, the thoughts they all get, the facts that they make on their own, whether reality or not, acceptance of mortality etc etc everything is inserted in a plot that could surely get too much at times but Noah’s masterstroke is in the funniest details especially towards the end. I laughed out loud during a church sequence (Again smart satire) and of course the brilliant dance sequence in the end that just said supermarket is a place where people just don’t think about anything negative about their lives 😂  Again a metaphor for enjoying life as it’s.  “'Everything is fine, and will continue to be fine, as long as the supermarket doesn't slip.'
