The White Tiger2021

I am fine with a good cliched entertainment regarding criminals or just a poor man trying to climb the ladder to beat the rich people and be a millionaire. It’s all fine. My problem with “White tiger” is sheer amount of casual-ness in handling the solid premise with uninteresting characters, average editing and typical Indian TV soap-ish dialogues in between that made me check the credits again whether it was indeed an American who wrote and directed this. It makes me sad to write the above words because I absolutely loved Adarsh Gourav’s performance and to some extent 1st 50 minutes of the film. The casual-ness in executing the lead’s plan and making it look like a very skilful plan didn’t work for me. I didn’t find anything technically that I could point out and say “Oh that was amazing”. Priyanka’s character was good but Rajkumar’s was really badly written and no wonder even Raj couldn’t do justice to it. It was partly entertaining but also some portions couldn’t really come off that well. Some more focus on better supporting characters, overall writing and better execution towards the end, this could have been an explosive film for me.  Adarsh though deserves all the praise but I am not sure about the film. Anyways to each their own.
