The Trial of the Chicago 72020

Whenever Aaron Sorkin’s name comes up, I expect the screenplay to be the most juiced up and on-point writing with the dialogues that run through my veins until it explodes into something extraordinary and then it feels like literally giving a standing ovation. Aaron does it again in his latest film (only Second film as a director)  “The trial of the Chicago 7”. Some of the scenes took me back to the great lunch scene in “A few good men” or the brilliant confrontation scene with Jobs and sculley in “Steve jobs”. That writing with excellent  performances and background music complimenting the thrill the scene gives as a viewer. It’s what Aaron does masterfully.  In the “Chicago 7” He has literally taken his signature writing style and made an explosive courtroom drama that is entertaining yet insanely enthralling to watch from the word GO. Not to forget the performances by everybody including Sacha who has proved that he can be any character apart from his usual spoof stuffs. Eddie Redmayne and Mark Rylance were solid.  Aaron Sorkin was already a master as a writer. But now as a director he has finally arrived brilliantly and how!! (Was not a fan of his directorial debut in Molly’s Game).
