I usually agree with most of Letterboxd's average ratings to some extent, but this only has a 4/5 is very strange because this movie is flawless. Every aspect of this movie works really well. The script is very smart and engaging, A movie about doesn't sound too interesting, but the way it's written and all of the tension felt in the story makes it the complete opposite. What helps is that The dialogue is really clever and intriguing. The performances from everyone are top-notch. Jesse Eisenberg is perfect at bringing Mark Zuckerburg's timid yet terrifyingly brilliant nature, Justin Timberlake does a really good job, and Andrew Garfield is probably the standout. His performance is very likable but also sad because the only decent person in the movie gets completely screwed in the end. The pacing is unbelievably good. This movie doesn't get any bit dull just for a second, every scene is brisk and exciting. The directing is sharp and really makes the most of the basic environments in the movie. The editing is awesome, it brings the movie so much life and energy. The score is really unique and memorable. The use of synthesized instruments balanced with the piano keys is really original and creative sounding and it compliments the movie really well. I could write about for a lot more time, but I won't. All you need to know is that it's a masterpiece
