The Raven2012

I think if this movie was made at any time besides the 2010s, it could have been fantastic. But unfortunately, this film features the drab cinematography that was so prevalent in that era. That, combined with somewhat anachronistic dialogue and performance, and a fantastical plot, keeps this film from quite hitting the mark for me.  It’s not a bad movie, but I think it really needed just one aspect to shine to be great. But unfortunately, neither the acting, writing, nor visuals really get there.  Also, it seems like the only reason it’s called The Raven is because that’s his most famous story as that specific story bares almost no relevance to the plot.
