The Predator2018

This movie can suck my unit. The Marvelification of the Predator series is so tragic (nothing against Marvel). Good thing this didn’t go anywhere. Actually abysmal with no sense of what made the other Predator films special or interesting. So much fluff and filler and unnecessary garbage. The whole plot surrounding the autistic (yes, that’s important) kid is so unnecessary, but they try to make it the crux of the film. It is so obvious they wanted this to be a franchise starter, what with the Marvel director, Kegan Michael Key, and the PG13 script. But they had to give it an R rating because it’s a Predator movie, so they include wanton violence that is dreadfully tonally inconsistent. Like it can be genuinely entertaining at moments and ironically entertaining at others. But lowkey, this is just offensive in more ways than one.
