The paradox of tolerance is a philosophical concept suggesting that if a society extends tolerance to those who are intolerant, it risks enabling the eventual dominance of intolerance, thereby undermining the very principle of tolerance. This is one of the most frustrating movies I’ve ever seen. Every character makes the stupidest decision imaginable at every turn, and thus it is very true to life. I don’t know what I would do in this situation, but I can honestly say I would not do a single thing anyone else does in this film besides maybe cry.  A compelling allegory of what society would do in an ever-increasingly drastic situation, condensed enough for the average person to enjoy but perhaps too much to comprehend. These people are our family and our neighbors. Our leaders. And they will do whatever it is within their power to maintain control. Whether that is control over their own lives or others.  If you haven’t seen this movie and haven’t had the ending spoiled for you, I really recommend giving it a watch. It’s a wild ride that really must be seen to be believed.
