The Lost City of Z2017

What does it mean to be a man? To face danger and adventure? Is it for the glory of others or our own? Can being a man mean anything more than committing violent acts on one another? Can we truly love our fellow man? What do we do when our purpose is lost?  We are selfish and we give everything. We struggle and we know nothing. We are weak and fight endlessly for our foolish beliefs. With the same hands we create and cherish beauty, we will destroy it. We hold our children with the same hands we would use to take a life. Is there any future for us?  We will destroy ourselves.  And 1000 years from now, someone will stumble on the ruins of our society and wonder what happened.  “A man’s reach should exceed his grasp, or what’s a heaven for?”
