Ya got trouble, folks! Right here in River City Trouble with a capital "T" And that rhymes with "P"  and that stands for pool! As the next film is The Color of Money, I decided to do my due diligence and watch the original film, and I can definitely see why Scorsese would be interested in making a sequel to this. Fast Eddie is very much in line with a lot of his other characters, though I think he has more depth, but maybe that makes him more unrealistic.  I think other than some pacing issues, I really liked this one. It probably doesn’t need to be two hours long. I had to watch it in two sittings, so I’ll probably have to do a rewatch before it all sinks in. I’m glad to have the context of this film, so hopefully, it’ll help The Color of Money play better. It definitely makes me want to watch more Paul Newman movies.
