God forbid a diva wants to queen out and help some vigilantes assassinate a crime boss. This is the power of the people. It takes someone, anyone who is willing to get their hands dirty and do the hard thing for the sake of everyone else. You know, whatever the heck that Dark Knight movie was going on about. These are two men who, by accident or by divine intervention, are driven to fight against the evil and corruption in their city. Are they right? Are they crazy? I have my opinion (scorched earth motherfucker), but how much good are they really doing? Can three men destroy evil? And can you destroy evil with violence? Our world today is in desperate need of something like this. We are all too complacent, and we need someone to stand up and affect real change. The movie, however, doesn’t play this all 100% straight, and we have Willem Dafoe delightfully chewing up the scenery in every scene. Honestly, one of my favorite performances from him. It was also nice seeing Sean Patrick Flanery after watching him in Young Indiana Jones growing up. I wish he had a bigger career, but there are worse things you could be than Indiana Jones. Surprised I hadn’t seen it before. It’s a solid film and a great ride. Shout out to when Norman Reedus laid out Coach Beiste in the first five minutes of the movie. Now you will receive us. We do not ask for your poor or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick. It is your corrupt we claim. It is your evil that will be sought by us. With every breath, we shall hunt them down. Each day, we will spill their blood till it rains down from the skies. Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions. These are codes of behavior, and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over into true corruption, into our domain. For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three. And on that day, you will reap it. And we will send you to whatever god you wish. And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patri. Et Filii. Spiritus Sancti.
