Aye yi-yi, gotta love a voice-over intro where the lead says "you're not gonna believe how I got into THIS mess! Actually, hold up - let's start from the beginning ..." And then VHS rewind lines literally appear on screen. How were Keifer Sutherland and Krysten Ritter so well cast yet everyone else was so horribly miscast? And finally, this movie can't commit. It kept that USA Network "we know characters" aesthetic with realistic, visceral acts of violence. To give the filmmakers credit, I have t seen anything like it (minus the countless number of overused tropes)
