If only editing issues in the climax (Thank god one of the reviews I read mentioned this - By Akshay Kannan) and Aarya’s struggling performance when it comes to dramatic scenes  were not there, this could have easily been 4.5 or 5/5 film for me. I mentioned about flaws first because I could get only these two. Not many have mentioned this. Mainly because film has so many things to love that you might forgive or miss these small flaws in the film.  Right off the bat this movie’s most appealing feature is it’s absolutely authentic in most of the things. Yes I didn’t buy Aarya in emotional scenes but other than that each of the important characters are so bloody interesting that I now want them to make a separate film using some of the characters here. PA. Ranjit has achieved the depth and detailing of the story in a genre that is almost always so so predictable. It’s not easy to engage an audience in a boxing film these days as it’s done and dusted topic. Getting the local culture, politics, interesting characters and the boxing choreography right is what made me sit through this film for 3 hours. The world he created was believable and remarkably interesting right from the beginning. Pulsating experience overall (Dancing Rose fight sequence  alone is one of the best things happened in a film this year). Don’t miss.
